‘Afterword’ sessions are aimed to create a non-mediated, organic space among the filmmakers of the festival to initiate conversations around the topic of concerns in their films. The sessions will include select filmmakers grouped thematically according to the festival’s section of their screenings and will include critics from our parallel Young Critics’ Program.
The forums will strive to initiate conversations and communication among filmmakers in the festival, creating new channels for transnational, transdisciplinary connections. We imagine it as a room of accidental encounters, a room that looks forward to the community to come.
The critics will also engage in free-flowing communication with the filmmakers to sprawl their words around the films in concern. After all, what happens when a group of like-minded people, traversing similar themes of artistic and political concerns, suddenly find themselves locked in a room together?
Their shared passion is the only curator/moderator in it.
This is a self-initiated conversation among the artists and there will have no outside moderator present in the room. Do participate if you want to become a part of this experimentation, not mandatory that you have to speak or share in a certain way.
The room is a safe zone for the artists so that they can behave on their own terms, there are no regulations so far!
