Echoing Dziga Vertov’s 1929 meditation on the cinematic medium, Man With A Drone portrays a man’s travels through outback Australia. His Journey from the centre to the coast encapsulates the discomfort of travel in a settler colony, yet the film does not see the camera as an eye, or a fist, but as a hand, reaching for connection.
