Andy Sowerby

Andy Sowerby is a filmmaker and visual artist. His films have been screened internationally, including at London Short Film Festival, Atlanta Film Festival, Boston Science Fiction Film Festival and BBC Music Video Festival and on websites such as Nowness.com, Omeleto.com and Booooooom.com. Andy’s work engages with tensions between narrative storytelling and abstract expressive representation. His artwork regularly uses evocative dynamic abstractions, such as kinetic textural animations of light or the breakdown of the image. Andy has an interest in representing our lived experience: exploring subjects including memory, subjective experiences of time and interactions via our senses.
